Salman Khan bags Rs 7 crore endorsement deal

Rather than just earning moolahs in Bollywood Movies, Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan seems to have leapfrogged to becoming one of the highest paid stars in the endorsement space as well. The Dabangg Khan who otherwise is known to do very few endorsements has now apparently bagged a 7-crore deal to become the face of a food supplement.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh initially endorsed the brand and clearly Salman is being paid more than double of what Yuvi was. Says a source, “There is no doubt that Salman has charged a bomb for this brand. They were very keen on bringing him on board. It was a lucrative deal.”

Salman Khan who otherwise charges between Rs 3-4 crore per endorsement deal (for a year) suddenly upped his rates for this one. Adds the source, “His market value is bigger than any other star at this point. However a lot of family brands do not prefer Salman Khan because of his past reputation. Salman Khan too does not really invest too much time and energy into endorsements.

However, a food supplement goes perfectly with his image and personality. Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan however still remains the highest paid star as far as endorsements deals go.

Mallika goes topless for FHM cover

Mallika Sherawat is said to be the first Indian woman to get an offer to pose nude for Playboy magazine and appear on the cover. Mallika turned down the offer in an attempt to avoid the risk of being blacklisted in the Indian film industry.

While talking to reporters, the actress was heard to be saying “I’ve slogged like crazy to get where I am. And those who think it’s just my body that got me where I am, they should take a look at the others who have rushed in after me. They haven’t gone beyond their first feverish film”.

Nude FHM scandal model Veena Malik announces Bollywood debut

Bollywood Gossip: Pakistani star Veena Malik has announced that she will be making her Bollywood debut next year. The model and television anchor has signed up with UK-based creative media agency Sahdev Media in preparation for the launch of her film career.

“We are absolutely delighted to be working with Veena Malik who is currently working on some very exciting projects,” said company CEO Nisha Sahdev. Veena Malik is currently embroiled in a legal wrangle with FHM over the publication of nude images which she claims have been doctored.

She has alleged that the men’s magazine photoshopped the original images to give the impression that she posed nude for the Indian edition’s current cover. Malik rose to fame in India following her appearance on the fourth season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Pamela Anderson also featured in the same season despite leaving the compound to stay in a 5 star hotel every evening.

Prior to beginning work on her first film project, Malik will be appearing on NDTV’s reality show Veena ka Swayamvar.

How model Poonam Pandey got robbed??

Bollywood Gossip: Bike-borne robbers accost people sitting in cars to alert them about angry motorist, grab iPhone from model Poonam Pandey their latest victim. A motorcycle gang that has successfully robbed expensive mobile phones from cars on the move, made model and reality TV starlet Poonam Pandey its latest victim on Friday night.

According to the latest updates, members of the gang accost motorists stuck at the busy Adarsh Nagar signal in Andheri (West), and enact a charade to distract them, before grabbing their phones and fleeing. The gang became a palpable presence on the police’s radar when they began receiving complaints of mobile phone robberies, all using the same modus operandi.

A recent strike by the gang, which took place on Friday at around 10.30 pm, left Poonam Pandey bereft of her expensive iPhone 4, which costs about Rs 45,000. In her complaint lodged at the Oshiwara police station, Pandey said that she was hitching a ride in her friend’s Wagon R, from Goregaon to Kokilaben Hospital in Four Bungalows, when the incident took place. Her friend was driving the car. When they reached the Adarsh Nagar signal, two men on a motorcycle approached her, and knocked on the window. When she rolled down the window, one of the bikers warned her that another motorist was hurling abuses at her. Assuming that the car has hit the irked motorist, she turned around to resolve the situation.



Taking advantage of her distraction, the motorist snatched the iPhone from her dashboard and sped away. It took Poonam Pandey a few moments to realise that her phone had been picked up. The man in the other car who had kicked up a fuss had also fled.

When Poonam Pandey approached the Oshiwara police station to file her complaint, she was informed that several other robberies had taken place in the area recently, using the same modus operandi. “I had no idea that the robbers would distract me and flee with my expensive phone the minute I looked away from it. There were several personal photos and private videos stored in the phone, and I’m afraid that it might create a sensation if it landed in the wrong hands,” Poonam Pandey commented while talking to reporters.

The police officers investigating the case confirmed that several cases of mobile phone robbery had been reported at the same signal in the recent past.

“We are now on the look out for the gang. We believe that its members have committed several mobile thefts in south Mumbai. We’re tracing the gang members and have also increased vigilance at the Adarsh Nagar signal,” said an officer from the Oshiwara police station.

Sources directly connected to Kris tell TMZ ... the bballer -- through his Minnesota lawyer -- has given Kim an ultimatum ... either pay up, or endure an ugly, public trial.

Our sources say Kris and his lawyer have been told to pound sand, and with good reason.

For starters, even if there wasn't a prenup, the marriage lasted a grand total of 72 days, so the community property wouldn't be in the universe of $7 mil.

Second, there was an iron-clad prenup, which provided that Kim owes Kris zilch.

Third, Kris actually MADE MONEY from the marriage. Sources tell us ... Kris raked in around $1 mil from the wedding and the TV special that showcased the nuptials. And Kris made off like a bandit because Kim ended up using a portion of what she got to pay for the ring.

In addition, we're told Kris made somewhere between $250,000 and $300,000 from the Kardashian reality show.

Looks like the Bank of Kardashian is officially closed.

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown can't stand her name ... because of its association with her father Bobby Brown -- and now, TMZ has learned, she wants to change it all together.

Bobbi Kristina is telling friends ... she's wanted to change her name for years -- ever since her parents split -- but Whitney wouldn't let her.

Now that Whitney's gone, we're told the 19-year-old feels untethered -- and wants to finally change her name completely ... making it simply "Kristina Houston."

We're told Bobbi has made the decision with a sober mind and is in a "better place" than she's been in a while.

It's unclear when she plans to make the change official.

Kris Humphries Kim Kept All My $$$

Sources close to Kris Humphries say he has no beef with the story we posted yesterday -- that he made a bundle off of his wedding to Kim Kardashian -- but according to Kris' camp ... the bballer hasn't seen a penny and Kim has it all.

We're told before they were hitched ... Kim and Kris opened a joint account in which they deposited all the money they made from the wedding and other ventures. Our sources say Kris did indeed get money for selling wedding photos and appearing on the Kardashian reality show ... but they say all that money went into the joint account and Kris never got any of it.

Here's what's perplexing. Since it was a joint account, Kris would have as much access to the money as Kim, but sources connected to Kris say he's never attempt to withdraw any of it.

As we reported yesterday ... Kris wants millions from Kim as part of the divorce settlement, even though they were together in marriage for only 72 days.

Sources close to Kris tell us ... he doesn't even care about the money -- all he wants is an annulment.

Problem for Kris is .... in order to get an annulment, he has to prove the marriage was fraudulent, and that's going to be tough.

Kris' lawyer had no comment.
